The City of Melbourne is a proud supporter of the 2019 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

From dramas to documentaries, comedies to musicals, this exciting festival is set to showcase some of the country’s finest talent. The colour and vivacity of Indian films provides an enchanting window into the diverse experience of Indian life.

Melbourne hosts a flourishing Indian community and our city has a great appreciation for India’s film history, including Bollywood productions filmed in Australia. This year’s theme of courage will resonate powerfully with the Melbourne audience.

The festival has become the largest Indian film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and this year celebrates its 10th anniversary.

There are a host of free events for the whole family to enjoy; don’t miss the flag hoisting ceremony and the Telstra Bollywood Dance Competition!
