Synopsis: This crime drama is a modern day adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The protagonist (Shahid Kapoor), Haider is on a hunt to avenge his father’s death. He uses the help of Arshia (Shraddha Kapoor), his fiancé and journalist to find what happened and take his revenge. The movie shows the complexities of relationships, the intricate screenplay and powerful music add to the story and create an impactful drama. This is the third movie in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Shakespeare trilogy, the first two being Maqbool (Macbeth) and Omkara (Othello). “Mr. Bhardwaj provides the occasional sharp reminder of how cinematically he can construct Shakespearean moments,” says The New York Times.
