Thank you, everybody for supporting and attending another successful curtain raiser for the India Film Festival Melbourne (IFFM), 2015.

Vidya Balan, our fantastic festival ambassador, announced the dates to this year’s festival; August 14-27 2015. Every year the film festival focuses on a particular theme, this year it is equality focusing mainly on race, gender, sexuality and disability. As the festival coincides with the Indian Independence day, August 15, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held, for the first time, at Federation Square to commemorate 68 years of independence. The event will be followed by the popular, Telstra Bollywood Dance Competition and a spectacular fashion show at the National Gallery of Victoria to celebrate the second IFFM awards.

IFFM is delighted to partner with the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, and will raise funds for them through the fashion show. Bollywood stars, celebrities and models will walk the ramp for the cause.

The complete program will be launched in June 2015.
