Synopsis: Prem’s father is keen on his son getting married and much to Prem’s reluctance; they pick Sandhya, a feisty chubby girl, as his wife to be. The marriage takes off to a very shaky start and a series of events almost brings them to a divorce but a competition in the city changes it all. This movie resists all kinds of patriarchal stereotypes and each character leaves a lasting mark on the audience. The Indian Express says that, “Sandhya and Prem are a couple that win you over gradually but surely.”
