The NAB IFFM Awards Night is the festival’s most anticipated evening, celebrating the finest achievements in cinema while bringing together filmmakers, actors, and audiences under one roof. With its glittering red carpet, memorable performances, and a spirit of togetherness, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) came alive with energy and excitement.
This year’s Awards Night was a truly special celebration, featuring a vibrant mix of music, dance, and culture. The evening opened with a powerful performance by Djirri Djirri, the only Aboriginal women’s dance group in Victoria, honouring Country and heritage through dance and storytelling.
Lisa Mishra lit up the stage with her soulful singing, enchanting the audience with her dynamic voice.
The night also shone a spotlight on local talent, With electrifying performances by Bollywood Dance Company and Prakalpa Samskruti, showcasing the rich diversity and creativity of the community.
The Awards Night was graced by some of the biggest names in cinema, including Aamir Khan, Arvind Swamy, Jaideep Ahlawat, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparna Purohit, Geetha Kailasam, Vikramaditya Motwane, Abhishek Bachchan, R.S. Prasanna, Malaika Arora, Vir Das, and many more, who came together to celebrate storytelling and talent.
The evening was seamlessly hosted by Sapan Verma, the celebrated stand-up comedian, whose wit and charm kept the energy alive throughout the night.
