Karuththadayan is an actor, poet, writer, and creative collaborator from South Thittangulam, Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu. He is the author of the novel Kotti and the short story collections Agaasamadan and Aathali. His published poetry collections include Oottu, Pozhichal, and Vaiyyali. He made his feature film debut as Ganapathy in Koozhangal (Pebbles), directed by P. S. Vinothraj, the Tiger Award-winning film at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. He portrays Sellam in Members of the Problematic Family, where he also served as the film's Creative Supervisor, contributing to the film's artistic development and collaborative process. His work across literature and cinema reflects a deep engagement with rural Tamil life and contemporary independent filmmaking. Karuththadayan will be present for the screening of Members of the Problematic Family, the opening film at IFFM 2026.
