A visually spectacular short documentary, Amdavad Ma Famous takes place amongst the colour and excitement of India’s largest kite-flying festival, Uttarayan. 11 year old Zaid is a passionate kite runner, with a childlike innocence and enthusiasm for the sport. Director Hardik Mehta’s intimate film captures Zaid’s transition: as he comes further immersed in the rancor and competitiveness of the event.
