Roshan Abbas has spent two decades gathering domain expertise in radio, television, theatre, events and BTL and has recently entered Bollywood with his directorial debut under the banner of Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Production.
Roshan is a reputed television and radio anchor having won 7 national awards (for Family Fortunes, Public demand, Livewire, Khanak, Junior Janaab, Toofan Mail etc.). He entered the field of event management and BTL communication in 1997 with ENCOMPASS. |
After guiding Encompass as its MD, he forged a partnership with WPP in 2008. Currently, under Sukrit Singh its CEO, Encompass has an annual turnover of over US$20 million and is among India’s most awarded, biggest and best experiential marketing agencies
Having held 7 different careers from theatre, film, tv, radio, songwriter, he has successful traversed the change from MC to MD. Roshan is now an ME (Media Entrepreneur) angel investor in the media and technology space but his biggest investment is his time spent on training and education with a focus on media. |

Uma da Cunha lives and breathes film; programming festivals, writing and casting. Her film career began in 1974 organising film events for the Indian government and now programmes Indian content for the Mumbai International Film Festival as well as Kerala, Toronto, London, Los Angeles, Stuttgart, Florence and Houston. As a casting director her credits include Monsoon Wedding, Holy Smoke, Lagaan and Water, among others. She is also the Founder Editor of the Mumbai-based quarterly magazine Film India Worldwide. She covers international festivals for Mumbai Mirror (The Times of India daily journal) and has been contributing to the International Film Guide (London) for many years and to publishers in Italy, Japan and Korea. |
| Her next project involves setting up mini film festivals under the name of Film India Worldwide, starting with her home city of Mumbai. Uma was a member of the Un Certain Regard international jury at Cannes in 2009 and a FIPRESCI jury member at the 2011 Busan International Film Festival. |
