From dramas to documentaries, comedies to musicals, the 2020 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is set to showcase the finest selection of colourful and vibrant films.

While we can’t physically go out to watch a film right now, it is wonderful that we can still get our film fix at home thanks to the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne’s online program this October.

As the arts and cultural capital of the country, the City of Melbourne is proud to support the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne through our Event Partnership Program.

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is one of our great cultural celebrations and a reminder that Melbourne is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world.

We are a city of more than 230 different cultural backgrounds practising more than 135 faiths.

Within this incredible mix, Melbourne is home to a flourishing Indian community and our city has a great appreciation for India’s film history, including Bollywood productions filmed in Australia.

Festivals such as this enrich the cultural life of our city as a whole.
