IFFM Dance Competition

We regret to advise that the IFFM dance competition to be held on August 15 stands cancelled due to the current lockdown.

A year filled with uncertainty and everything virtual deserves a celebration, and what better way than putting on your dancing shoes and performing in front of a live congregation.

Bringing back the excitement with a *drumroll* effect - Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2021 announces the #IFFMDanceCompetition! It only gets BIGGER and BETTER than ever!

Kishwar Chowdhury

Celebrating the rich flavours of the South Asian tadka is Kishwar Chowdhury, Masterchef Australia Season 13 finalist. Her delectable and humble recipes paid tribute to her Indian-Bangladeshi roots, making her a household name not just in Australia but globally too.

Tara Rajkumar OAM

Tara is an internationally renowned dancer, choreographer, artistic director, educator, leader and mentor. From her Melbourne base she tirelessly champions cross-cultural awareness and community harmony through South Asian performing arts. The positive impacts of Tara’s trail blazing classical and contemporary performance productions, teaching in schools and universities, multi-cultural collaborations and inspirational leadership are widely acclaimed.

Alongside the duo, we will soon be announcing our next judge, so keep the excitement going.
