Director: Mejbaur Rahman Sumon

Mejbaur Rahman Sumon is a Bangladeshi filmmaker, screenwriter, visual artist, and musician. He began his career in 2006 directing television fiction while studying Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts. Despite creating only a few fiction works, he became one of the leading voices of Bangladesh's New Wave movement. Since 2011, his production company FACECARD has produced numerous popular and acclaimed television commercials. His debut feature film, Hawa (2022), was Bangladesh's Academy Awards submission and became the first Bangladeshi film to enter the U.S. box-office charts. His second feature, Roid, has earned selections at Film Bazaar and IFFR's Tiger Competition.
