Director: Swapnesh Dubey

Swapnesh Dubey is an Indian-Australian actor, filmmaker, journalist, and storyteller currently based in Melbourne, Australia. He is the co-director, narrator, and co-producer of the documentary Queering India, a film exploring LGBTQIA+ lives, visibility, and the ongoing movement for marriage equality in India. Before moving into filmmaking, Swapnesh worked as a journalist and news anchor in India, becoming one of the youngest anchors in the country. His creative work now sits at the intersection of cinema, activism, migration, and queer identity. Through documentary and performance, he aims to create conversations around belonging, culture, and human connection. Alongside filmmaking, Swapnesh continues to work as an actor across theatre and screen, with projects in English, Hindi, and Marathi.

Director: Lakhinandan Boruah

Lakhinandan Boruah is a filmmaker, writer, and producer whose work spans documentaries, fiction, theatre, and commercial storytelling. His documentary Queering India explores the marriage equality debate in India, while his commercial credits include campaigns for Vaseline and Kama Ayurveda. He is currently in pre-production on an international web series and a feature film, and his theatre work has been staged across India and South Africa.
