Flowers in a Hailstorm

Assamese
29 Mins | 2024 | India
Australian premiere
While trying to make a film on abandoned houses, the filmmaker realises that he suffers from a psychological condition, a fear of abandonment. The film is an exploration of his mental space, as he reflects on different ways of feeling abandoned personally, in a relationship, by a community, or society as a whole. A poignant, self-reflexive, experimental documentary.

This film is also screening under the Indian Indigenous Cinema section.
